Day #102 (Continued some more)

It dusted the mountains with snow last night. It will probably be gone by tomorrow. For me it is pretty and right where it needs to be, up on the mountain far enough away not to bother me. Ha!

My Bug Zapper needs a new bulb, but the color cast it now gives off is better for pictures than the bright fluorescent black light. Ha!

Day #104 Apr. 13

Visited the resident Great Horned Owl nest. Didn't see any little ones yet, but I expect to soon. I am going to have to start carrying a ladder so I can get high enough to look into the nest.

Day #104 (Continued)

A couple of shots of my neighbor's house. It could use a little tender loving care.

Great light on your neighbours house!! Well captured!

Thanks Kevin. Once in a blue moon I am in the right place at the right time. Ha! I have had this place in mind to get some pictures of for some time now. This evening it worked out.

Got pictures, but no time to process and post. They will be coming.

And HERE THEY COME!
A House Sparrow.

A Pine Cone. I was trying to do something I am not very good at: Be "Artsy" like others who are able to catch things just right.

A Wilson' Warbler. I think it is the first one I photographed. (No the photo is not upside down. I put the copyright upside down to be funny.)

Day #105 Apr. 14 (Continued)

The other day I posted a neighbors house. I decided I would try to get some shots of another neighbors house which is located about 5 miles in the opposite direction from my place. It probably was a home of one of the more wealthier farmers back in the day. A little bit of tender, loving care is all that is needed to get it back into shape.

First shot is the "Well Pump House."

Day #106 Apr. 15

Super windy today. Can you say 50+ MPH winds, so not many pictures. I waited most of the day thinking conditions would get better. They didn't so I finally went out just as it was getting dark and saw some apple blossoms on my tree. I used the built in flash to try to stop it in the wind.

And then taking the apple blossom and playing with it in GIMP.

Photographing the Photographer. My daughter and family are visiting and my daughter was trying to slip up close to some rabbits to get a picture with her Kodak camera. Still working on her getting a Nikon. Her daughter has a Coolpix L320 so all is not lost. Ha!

Day #108 Apr. 17

Today on my morning walk, I caught this Red-tailed Hawk as it flew by. It caught me off guard, but I did manage to get a shot or two.

4-17-16-cr__D7K2916.jpg

Then on the way to church, I glanced at the owl nest I have been watching. Hey there is a young one in the nest. I didn't even shut off the car. I just stopped in the middle of the road and grabbed my camera. I walked the 200 or so feet and took a few shots.
4-17-16-cr__D7K2921.jpg

Hey mom, what is that coming toward us.
4-17-16-cr__D7K2922.jpg

After I took a shot or two, the little guy started trying to hide close to mom.
4-17-16-cr__D7K2930.jpg

Thankfully there wasn't much traffic today on the road. Ha!

Day #109 Apr. 18

Two different Warblers on this mornings walk. As it turns out they are just passing through the area from their winter digs heading for their mating ground farther north.

First is a MacGillvrays Warbler peaking from the brush.

Then a Wilson's Warbler

Checked on my Great-Horned Owls, but the young one(s) were hidden at sundown under mom.
4-18-16-cr__D7K2952.jpg

Had to get the moon in the shot.
