Ding, ding, ding, I think we have a winner. Looking it up by name the pictures look like it. Thanks Carolyn for the ID. Stay tuned, more owl pictures coming shortly. Ha!
Day #92 Apr. 1
Today on my walk, the little owl was hanging in the same place as yesterday.
I think they must be nesting there.
And then a Turkey Buzzard soaring waaaaaaaaaay up there.
Not a great shot of the bird, but I liked the whole sky shot with the silhouetted bird.

Day #97 Apr. 6
Charlie, giving me that "What are you doing?" look.
Saw this guy at the end of his day (I think). He evidently does yard work as he was carrying his lawn mower, rakes, etc on his bike trailer (Actually a hand truck).
Shortly after he came by, this Fire Truck came screaming by, all lit up.
A male House Finch enjoying the Ocotillo Flowers that the female must have told him about yesterday. He's sure a sloppy eater. Just look at all of that red on his chest. Ha!
And this one is just for @Danno

A guy checking out his phone and oblivious to the world.
The desert is starting to "Green Up" and the clouds were starting to bring a storm. The smell of rain in the desert is indescribable, but so refreshing. I did have to remove some ugly power lines from the clouds using Gimp.
This is a shot of the view the the affluent have of the Tucson Valley. The storm was brewing.

Just a stormy shot, waiting for a Light Ray shot for the weekly challenge
Another attempt at something for the Light Beam challenge. I had some great ideas for this, but it is proving a little more difficult to pull off. Ha! First I thought that I would use a light in a box with a pin hole. The only problem is that the light doesn't photograph well without something to reflect in the light ie dust. The wife wasn't real thrilled when I said I was going to throw some fine dusty dirt in the air so the flashlight beam would catch it. I decided another option would be some smoke. This is the best result of that attempt.

Starting off with an unusual find while on my walk this morning.
The nearest golf course is about 25 miles away and the closest neighbor that plays golf is over 1/2 mile away, but a golf ball shows up in the middle of nowhere. Ha!
Laying here between the neighbors field and my place out in the middle of the desert. How did it get here? Actually the local crows like to carry them around because I guess they think they are eggs. I have seen then with golf balls in their beaks and also at cattle drinkers soaking them to try to soften them up so they can crack the shell. Ha!
