I would need to be at least 600 mm focal length away from the rattler, not 145mm focal length away. Do I see rattle movement in the last image?:shame:

Yes on the rattles moving. I decreased the shutter speed to get that to show, unlike in the first photo of the snake. They were moving in all of the shots only the shutter speed was too fast for the first one to show. I missed a good shot, when he struck at me but came up short by about 18". I have been around these guys long enough to know about what their striking distance is. Ha!

Great Rattler shots. I've yet to get a shot of a Rattler. It's one of my bucket list species. :)

Come on down Woody. I'm sure I can find a few for you. Ha! They are pretty plentiful around here. The one that I shot a few weeks back came up on the porch while my wife and I were sitting, enjoying the evening.
