Why wouldn't you use Lightroom for tethering? Here is a nice overview on how it works on a Mac - PC will be similar.

Thanks for all the ideas,I will look at all of them. What i want to have is liveveiw so what i see on the screen is what i get,The last time i did this LR didn't have this,not tried it with LR5.And if you look at B@H it will work for mac. Just wanted to know if any one here has used it? The reveiws are all up an down some say it work some say it not so good.And the price is 134.00 usd

@caveman - I have an iMac too and have been down this road earlier
I had found a pretty decent app for tethering on a mac and had posted a new thread in this section...
I'll see if I can pull it up, if not you should be able to find it

I did install the trial version on my PC and it worked pretty well with my D70. I could control all parameters from the PC
- Focus
- Aperture
- Speed
- ISO
all that I did not try before it expired was the live view as D70 has no live view and my son had the D300.

I suggest that you download it and try it for one month trial period, and then decide.

In my opinion DGCamControl is not that great for single camera, but does support multiple cameras if you need it. Will try it out today and let you know.
