Conflict with Lightroom and Spyder 4 Pro

Has anyone encountered any problems when trying to install Lightroom 4 while having Spyder 4 Pro already installed? I own a Windows 7 computer. While trying to install Lightroom, I noticed my laptop display was changing from its darker display setting (after recently being calibrated by my newly installed Spyder 4 Pro software) back to its original brighter display and back and forth.

When I tried to open Lightroom, I got an error message that it cannot open along with some red 'X's. Has anyone else had this problem? I uninstalled Lightroom 4 and tried to install Lightroom 3...same problem. :( I uninstalled Lightroom 3, too. This is the first software I have tried to install since installing Spyder 4 Pro. Thanks for any help!

Edit: BTW I also uninstalled Spyder 4 Pro and tried the install Lightroom again. Still no luck.

What operating system (Windows or OS X) are you using? How much hard drive space do you have free?

Eduard, I have Windows 7 and have about half of my hard drive space unused.

This sounds like it will be a bugger to try to resolve. I would first try to create a stable environment. Here is what I would do:

1. Uninstall Spyder software. Reboot.

2. Make sure all windows updates have been applied. Reboot.

3. Update/reinstall video driver. Reboot.

4. Try opening LR. If it doesn't work, uninstall. Reboot. Reinstall. Reboot. Try opening LR again. Does it work now?

I would focus on getting LR working before reinstalling Spyder. Hope this helps.
