Clayton's 2014-365

It only started doing this since new computer. I will try a few things and get back to you on another post. Also does the picture look normal to you??

You still have not answered my question. I know you are loading photos that are over 1000 PC on the long side. When you do that the site is going to resize them they end up at 1024 ps on the long side. So depending on how big they are it is having to resize. Better that you so it and control it yourself.

Sorry Don. I was using windows photo gallery to downsize image before. Windows 8 didn't have it loaded. I would downsize to medium 1024 before uploading. I just downloaded the photo gallery and will see what happens.

It looks better to me. Also I don't have this computer set up right. Big change for me from windows 7 to 8.

What many people don't know that no matter what size photo you upload the site is going to downsize it to 1024 on the long size. That is why you hear me telling people to size them to no larger than 1000 px on the long side. This way you are in control of the quality instead of letting a web server downsize it. Also if it is over 1000px it will strip the EXIF data off of the photo.

Guidelines to adding a photo to your post.

1. Resize photo to 1000px on the long side.
2. Resolution set to 72ppi (Pixels Per Inch)

These guidelines will be good for viewing on a computer but will not be good for printing. This will help safeguard your copyright.

I knew what the uploading process did. I think it might have to do with the new computer. I didn't have any issues on old one. For some reason after I save the picture or export it from Corel it looks different. It could be a calibration thing. My biggest test is to take a chip to wal-mart and check the photos after fixing, to see if they are different.

I am a little overwhelmed today after seeing my MRI photos. I thought I would share a couple. The first photo shows My bulging discs and the second picture shows my spinal cord from a top view. The kidney bean like thing I circled is the cord. The only thing is it's not supposed to look like a kidney bean. The notch at the top is a spur poking my cord. I will see tomorrow what the Dr. says. Let's see if I am right.

You are still uploading files that are more than 1000px. Letting the site downsize your photos is going to degrade them. Size in KB or MB is not as important as size in Pixels
