I have just downloaded 3 sizes to the site and they show up the same. A 9mb,7mb and a 1mb.
How many Pixels on the long side. that is what matters
It only started doing this since new computer. I will try a few things and get back to you on another post. Also does the picture look normal to you??
You still have not answered my question. I know you are loading photos that are over 1000 PC on the long side. When you do that the site is going to resize them they end up at 1024 ps on the long side. So depending on how big they are it is having to resize. Better that you so it and control it yourself.

So was this at 1000? and did this take care of the problem?
It looks better to me. Also I don't have this computer set up right. Big change for me from windows 7 to 8.
What many people don't know that no matter what size photo you upload the site is going to downsize it to 1024 on the long size. That is why you here me telling people to size them to no larger than 1000 px on the long side. This way you are in control of the quality instead of letting a web server downsize it. Also if it is over 1000px it will strip the EXIF data off of the photo.
Guidelines to adding a photo to your post.
1. Resize photo to 1000px on the long side.
2. Resolution set to 72ppi (Pixels Per Inch)
These guidelines will be good for viewing on a computer but will not be good for printing. This will help safeguard your copyright.
Can't see the photo.
