Day 13:

A picture of my son in-law. If your wondering why so sad looking? His Grandfather went through pancreatic cancer surgery. The outcome hasn't been good. We just got the news yesterday that he was coming home and there is nothing more they can do. The worst of all is that his grandmother was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer prior to his Grandfathers cancer. All we can do is be there for him. We played a game of cards and talked about the good times to cheer him up.

this kind of news is hard to cope with. I just went through a death in my family and the best thing you can do is listen and be there for him.

I lost my own Grandpa to pancreatic cancer as well. Such a tough time... tell him my family's thoughts and prayers are with their family, and keep working to help him focus on the happy times.

i lost both my Grandmother and Uncle to cancer. Both passed just over a month apart. 9/2 for my Grandmother and 10/26 for my Uncle. My grandfather made it 1 year and 4 days past his late wife. He passed last year. So I know what it is like. If he even needs to talk to someone that's gone through it. Let me know.

Thanks everyone. My wife and I went through the same scenario 8 yrs ago. Her sister died of a massive heart attack at 44, her mother died 3 months later, father 3 months after that. Also her grandmother and cousin in that time frame. We ran out of tears. Her whole family took care of the parents for almost 2 years. Each taking a turn staying at their house. Just so they didn't have to be in a home. I watched my mother in-law pretty much starve from having Parkinson's disease. My father in-law had lung and liver cancer. To top it off they both had Dementia. It's not easy at all. One death is easy to handle. But, have multiple deaths in short time really sucks.

Sorry to hear you don't feel motivated but understandable. You definately got a different take on the usual moon shot and looks interesting :) Take care

Sorry to hear about the sad news, alot of us have lost people close to us due to cancer and it is never easy. We all deal with it in our own way so all I can offer is to keep doing what you are and try to think about the good times and not the bad.

early morning shot. Got an early call that my son in-laws grandfather passed this morning. He was a Steuben glass blower for 40 yrs and still worked with glass after he retired. I will take some shots of his work that was given to me. 004_Detail.jpg
