Should add that I read a recent post about manually focussing by using live view and zooming in to get a proper focus. I used it for my egg pics and am so thankful for the great advice! I've been focussing using the little view finder and not having very good results so greatly appreciated tip! I can't get tack sharp focus since the growth is in constant movement now but much much better than my previous attempts Thanx

I did not know that. We have Canadian Geese down here year round. They find the protected lakes in the parks and stay. On occasions they have to be removed to control the population to a manageable number.

Tell those Canuck Geese to come back home!! If they don't leave, tell them you will call ICE for overstaying their visit, lol

Cat was neutered and wouldn't stop licking and ripping himself up worse. He's nearly healed completely but headgear stays on until he's completely healed

I'm a wee bit farther north than you AC016 LOL That little bit of green is right next to the house on the sheltered sunny side the rest of the yard is still well covered in snow and we're supposed to get another 20cms today

A large number of people here did very upset a few years ago when a large number of them were ICED because after capturing and moves them from a very popular park they kept coming back in large numbers. Was no other option.

Yes they sure can make a mess and having too many just leads to nature having to cull and that can be far worse an ending.

We have had the same problem with the geese. They like the soccer field at the University. Someone decided to call the guy with the goose-herding sheltie. She chased them off for a few days, but they keep coming back. I think the University has given up.

Your goose eats broccoli? That's about the only thing my dog WON'T eat.

I never knew geese had such large teeth like ridges.

They're grass eaters so thats how they saw through the stalks. They absolutely LOVE broccoli and with the girls laying the calcium in broccoli is good for them. In summer I get a giant watermelon and the ducks and geese go crazy for it the geese even eat the rind so there is nothing left. Almost all of our leftover stuff from the kitchen goes out to be enjoyed by the animals. Hubby wanted to do a compost but there's is nothing to be composted. Here's an old photo on my Lucy when she was on her nest (it's the only time I get hissed at). Ducks also have the teeth like ridges on their bill

My puppy used to love broccoli!! When I was boiling it, the floor under my feet was full of drool!

I did hava a cat that ate broccoli, though. Sarah would eat just about anything. Very weird cat.

Well on this mornings trip to take my kids into town for school, I saw this eagle in the trees. He stuck around and I was able to capture him after dropping off my kids. I was soooo excited thinking I'd gotten a great capture since eagles always seem to be up in the highest barest dead trees and this one was in green trees. Unfortunately there was no light but the white bark of the trees around it ended up way too bright and my pics ended up not so great captures I'm really not sure what I should have done to capture this better. I thought I was starting to figure this out but today has me feeling I took a few steps back.
