Bracketing Problems

I have an issue with my bracketed images

the first image in each sequence is always slightly offset from the second and the other three. Which requires faffing about to rectify in photoshop

Any ideas how to solve this?

Do you mean the image shifts a little compared with the rest? If so, do you have VR turned on? I notice that happens with a couple of my lenses when using VR.

Are you stacking them into an HDR?

Are you using the "Photo Merge > HDR" option in LrC with bracketed images? If so, make sure that you select “Alignment”. This will low Lightroom to automatically align the images during the merge process, but you can fine-tune the alignment if necessary.

The other thing is to try to ensure you move as little as possible while capturing the images. Practice solid bracing and breathing and/or consider using a tripod and remote release.
