Nice! I noticed something that reminded me of water lilies on a canal that doesn't get fed fresh water. I might go take a closer look. The only other places I've seen water lilies are in lakes of a private club. Once is one of their lakes along a highway that is posted no parking. The other location is within the private club with parking near the road...might try it. It has a nice fishing pier located there, too.

I have the BR sports strap attached to the lens itself, so when I change, it hangs off the strap by itself, while I take a few wide angle shots, then back it goes.

Thanks Kevin! The 70-200 is a great lens on my D500. Along with the 20mm f.2.8 D. I can walk around for hours with the 70-200 attached and the small 20mm in my pocket or in Mary's purse.Pete your smacking them outta the park not sure you will want hang with me at CCB next year
Great shots

Hot, humid and hazy today. If it wasn't for this family of deer showing up just as we were leaving, today would have been a big nothingburger.
I might go down to Chattanooga later on to take some night shots, if I don't get too comfortable on the couch.

Pete, you and some other members here can use any camera on the market and the photos look every time amazing, stunning, wonderful, touching, and so on It does inspiring me.I t truly does.

Thank you Michael, that is a very nice compliment. The truth is, that I do take a lot of boring and uninspiring shots that gets deleted.
As time goes by and I get more experienced, I do try and only take interesting shots, but somehow still end up throwing a lot away.
I tried to get into street photography before, (lots of interesting opportunities there) but I just don't feel comfortable shooting people.
You do very well in that area and I always enjoy your shots of life in Thailand.

Hot ,humid and hazy again. Didn't want to leave the house, but my shutter finger was itching. Going down to the river and shooting white water rafters is pretty much good in any weather situation, if there is nothing else to shoot.
I found myself a good spot on a boulder that protrudes almost halfway into the river so the shots come out like you're shooting from the river itself.
I plunked my butt down with the D500 and the 200-500mm lens in hand.
I also set up the D750 with the 24-120mm lens with an ND filter on a tripod sitting very low, and took a few wide angle shots with slow shutter speeds.
Not much action as far as the rafters are concerned. One guy tipped over which was fun, but mostly boring stuff.
Here are a couple shots from the D750 .
That's it for today. Hopefully next weekend will be better shooting conditions
