Blacktop's 366 day trip through 2016

Had a day off from work today so Max and I went out to look for something to shoot.
I was real lucky to happen upon a White Egret standing around on top of a picnic table doing Egret stuff!
Normally I could never get this close to one of these birds here in Tennessee. They are real skittish and fly right off as soon as they see you. This one for some reason stood around for at least 10 minutes or so letting me take shots and letting me real close.

Went back to the park this weekend to see if I could spot the Egret again. Found her/him on the other side of the lake fishing.

Did some night shooting in Chattanooga tonight. Took only the 50mm 1.8D lens with me as a result of a poll that I put up . http://nikonites.com/general-lenses/37782-fun-poll.html#axzz4MXRQ0u78

I will process a few more shots tomorrow .

All hand held as I hate walking around with a tripod. I wish I had a fast VR lens so I wouldn't have to push the ISO so high . A 2.8 24-70 would have come in handy, but I can't afford that type of a thing, for sure.

This first shot has no EXIF because MS-ICE strips it. I had to do a 6 shot vertical stitch on this one as I had no more room to back up.

Went to the local Zoo today. As I don't have my 70-300mm lens any more and my 80-200 mm will not arrive till later in the week, I drug the 200-500mm lens around for a few hours.

Everything in this Zoo is either behind a fence or behind a glass enclosure.

Here are a few shots that came out halfway decent to post.

Through a fence on these.

Snow Leopard being lazy. This is the only angle I could get.
