Here is a shot of my camera bag with my favorite lens in it. I can't remember which lens I used to take this shot with. Lol :D

Here's a young kitty watching me close deciding rather to take off or not. So as still as I could be, I hurried and snapped a few shots. Lol :)

Here is a spider that looked like it'd make a good photo, but this was the best I could get. I could sure use some tips on how to get a good shot of spiders that hang under their web. Lol :D

Thanks Mike! :) I knew how to flip it over, but I was talking about getting the shot. No this spider wasn't nearly as small. I was just using my 70-300mm at the time instead of a more close up lens. Lol :) I was just thinking of trying to get another shot if it's still there, and was looking for some tips on how to get them. Lol :)
Like this Bill ;)

Nice shot but you are still choosing the small ones ;)

Tripod and manually focused. Get as close as you can without him running away. Get your lens zoomed in, composed the way you want, and auto focused. Switch the lens to manual and live view. Using the magnification on the LCD zoom in (magnify) the spider. Very slowly adjust the focus to get that final tweak of the focus on the spider. Adjust slowly as the LCD will be just barely behind what you're doing with the focus. While still in live view use your remote or the cameras timer release to take the photo.

Couple missed items. Make sure all points on tripod are tightened down before shooting. Shoot in live view to reduce vibration - no mirror movement.

Thank you very much! My 105mm is a prime and manual everything but I will try it the next chance I get! :D My 70-300mm doesn't have macro and I had to shoot from a few feet away with it.

OK here she is using a tripod and timer, using my 105mm full manual settings. Thank you my friends for your helping this newbie improve on his attempts at photography! :D
