Another myth to debunk about Canada

For those of you who do not speak French, you can use Google translate, and translation follows.

All this shit in the preamble could be removed without removing
one iota of interest in the rest of your article. French is a beautiful
language learning diplomacy and delicacy, and these could be
very good use here!

@Kodiak While this is an international forum and all countries and languages are welcome, the posts are in English first. There are several multi-lingual members here. If you would like to post in French or otherwise, please provide a translation for the benefit of those who do not speak that language. It's a matter of courtesy and respect.

. . . each language has its innate beauty and "diplomacy" (or tact) are inherent in all, not just French.

I don't get that one! =/

I am packing all the time. means that I am carrying a gun with me.

Short for Packing Heat which means carrying a firearm, usually in a concealed manner.

And No, I don't carry a firearm all the time. I do have one in my vehicle but that was mainly because when I was working I either left work at 3am and it was not a nice part of town or I went to work at 4am. Our TV station was in the middle of a cemetery and there were some undesirables in that part of town. Also I like to go hiking with my camera and you never know what you are going to run into in the woods of Alabama so I narmally have a 9mm on my side and it is not concealed. The big black weapon on my side tells people that I am not really interested in being bothered. I have never had to use any of my weapons and hope I never do.

I have to disagree with the notion that Canada has the same gun culture as the US. Yes, there are problems here, but we do not have the same "right to bear arms" mentality as the US. Everyone here is not driving around with a firearm in their glove box.
Hey, my shotgun doesn't fix in my glovebox. And I can't legally have a pistol in my car at all because I live in the worst state for gun rights.
