Somewhere Over The Rainbow (OK get that song out of your head tonight) First Rainbow I have seen in the Thunderstorm season. If you look real close there is a second very light one coming up at the steam from the power plant

Excellent shot of the Eaglett and momma Eagle.

Thanks for the kind remarks. I shot the rainbow off my deck. The Eagles are hard to photograph with all the tree limbs in the way. Soon it will be harder when the leaves come out. Best calculation is that they will not fledge until early June.

All I know is that several people on this site are teasing old Ron with there great pics of my favorite bird, all the while my only known nesting pair only show theirselves on days I don't have the right lens on the camera; that's all I know

Ron you need to make a trip over here to Central PA. It's only a few hours across the turnpike. I can give you directions to the wetlands where you will see more Red Wings that you can ever photograph. I shot this one because he just sat there in front of me.

Thanks Alan, but I am not a turnpike kind of guy. I just need to stalk the one I have here. Am probably going down the Blue Ridge Parkway to Cherokee in late May and will probably encounter many in Southern Virginia. Went to Burke's Garden Virginia one year and saw at least 50 pair on the 10 mile loop rode. Such a beautiful Valley.
