Work has gotten in the way of photography the last couple of day but I did take a couple of the Landis Covered Bridge. ( OK I had to drive over it to get where I was going) The bridge was built in 1873 and is the shortest in Lancaster county at 53 feet.

They were covered to protect the wooden decks from the weather. Snow laying on the bridges, excessive rain etc caused rotting of the deck boards. By building a structure above it the life was expanded by many years. Nothing worse than a rotting board falling when you are crossing with a horse and wagon.

Hershey Park...The little black dot is a Red Wing Blackbird. Did not see it until I got home and started to work on the photo.

This fellow sat on our deck for over an hour calling for mommy. One of the few shots I have taken this week. Life just seems to get in the way of fun sometimes.

Thanks, glad you appreciate my bird pictures. I enjoy trying to find a new bird or get a better shot of something I already have.
