Rare bird for Pennsylvania. This Yellow Crowned Night Heron, although plentiful in other parts of the US, is in one of only two colonies known in PA. The other is on an island in the middle of the river. This colony is in Urban Harrisburg, which doesn't please some of the homeowners around the tree they are in. I counted 6 nests this morning. More pictures later when I have time to go through them. (Only shot about 50)
