For some reason I always lean more towards the darker photos. I don't want to say under exposed but I like more shadows and contrasts. That's just me I guess.
Even I like them darker on the screen, but lighten them for prints, as that looks better on paper.

Portulaca. Tried to get as near as possible. Some with AF and most with MF. I am trying to get razor sharp images, but some how that is eluding me.

Have no idea of the name, but these are growing in our colony. There is this white one and then there is a deep pink one also.

I'm a relative novice to DSLR but the first lens I bought to supersede the kit lens on my D5200 was this lens. I shoot in JPEG and don't have any editing software currently so this is straight out of the camera in JPEG......

Whole reason getting a DSLR was to capture images of my son growing up and I really like this lens.

I'm considering the 50mm f/1.4G lens, any thoughts on that? I appreciate the distance from the subject issue but I could always switch to the 35mm in those circumstances.
