Is it a trial version?

Good question... I "assumed" it was not.. but decided to check after your question. Clicking on the link gets me this....

No, this is the full version of CS2 Standard with license keys.

I also got (because it wasn't clear to me what was included in the Suite) Elements, Premiere Pro, and Audition. All versions that were released around 2005 or so.

The website is getting hammered because it was posted to deal sites, so be patient.

I downloaded it and now it's asking for a serial number. Where does that come from?

I'm trying to contact Adobe. There are 76 people ahead of me and the wait time is 43 minutes.

All the serial numbers were listed on the download page. I have a feeling they were generic, unlimited use serials but I can't confirm.

Serial # for the WIndows CS2 download (verified it's universal)

1130-1414-7569-4457-6613-5551

I quit, this is not a valid serial number

But beware, it might not recognize all the newer camera models. But you can use NX viewer to extract TIFFs and then learn with CS2.

No, You Can't Download Adobe CS2 Applications For Free - Forbes

Adobe scientist Dov Isaacs clarifies:
On behalf of Adobe Systems Incorporated …
You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!
What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don’t require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. (Special serial numbers are provided on the page for each product download.) See <Adobe Community: Looking to activate Creative Suite 2, Acrobat 7, or Macromedia products?>.
Sorry for getting your hopes up and adding to the confusion.

They should amend that to - 'We didn't mean to give away free copies,' because they just gave away a bunch today.

Hi Folks
Downloaded it and all fully works with the serial numbers listed.

But - as said before - on newer camera models you'll have to work around the fact CS 2 will not support the NEF format.

TIFF looks least lossy to me, too.

I downloaded CS2...works great...used this serial number (for Windows): 1045-1412-5685-1654-6343-1431

Updates are not available for it, though.
