Great job on the painting, but when are you going to paint one called "Beaver at the dentest"?

I STILL can picture that poor beaver with the impacted wisdom tooth, its swollen and distended jaw causing him so much pain.

I have been fighting a flu bug for the past couple of days and I am no closer to shaking this little bast**d!

I will get back to the painting in a few days.

My advice is my grandfather's remedy: a big glass of the strong booze of your choice every 4 hours or so & you won't feel a thing till you sober up.!!But at least the flu will be gone.!! Hangover's another remedy!!!
And don't pass out on the carpet cause then there's no help for you from the wrath of your wife.!!!

I have FINALLY gotten over my bug!

How-ever, the painting that I was working on just didn't want to work.

So I stripped the canvas off of the frame and it will be recovered when I think of a suitable subject for it.

How-ever, I am working on another one that I am documenting each step of. I will be posting those shots in

place of the previous one.

So here is the new blank canvas. I quickly sketch out the rough outline and brush in the sky and water.

Here I under paint the forest and reflection. This is done very quickly simply because it needs no fine detail.

And I start adding the foliage impressions.

Trees are getting filled in and...

the scene is becoming recognizable as a lake.

The brush along the bank is finished,



and the lake foam is added to push the bank back into the painting even further.

My signature completes this painting.

My left arm has one very important purpose in life.

It keeps my watch handy.

Although, for some strange reason, I am equally accurate with a handgun with either hand.

And back in the day, that was VERY accurate.
