Just make sure you note that there are a lot of negative reviews of this item (yes, a few of them appear to be from people that don't understand basic computer storage topics) and that the item has been discontinued. Seagate is usually pretty reliable but it would be interesting to know what the differences are between this unit and whatever they replaced it with.

I have this drive as discussed in this thread. I've only had it a few weeks so can't comment on long term reliance but setup and use so far has met expectations.
