Started right away on New Years Day. Not greatness, but we can build to that as the year progresses.

It was very cloudy, the Wisconsin River is not frozen over, very few eagles about. What I captured was all happening pretty far away and I had to crop in a lot.

I believe these 2 eagles were courting.

With a lack of eagles, the cranes coming in for a formation landing was the next best show. I actually did not notice the eagle in the tree for the last photo until I reviewed at home.

Also I found out on the TV news that I was in the wrong city that day. There was a snowy owl posing for photographers in a town about 40 miles south of where I was.

Lunch at Burlington, WI. Some suspicious-looking waterfowl out of their element.

I'm searching for circles for the weekly challenge today and instead find a fiberglass bird.

Infrared photos desaturated to B/W. My D600 is converted to 720nm IR.

During the month of July I have been trying to expose 2 rolls of 20-year-old B/W film I came to possess. Nearly done with that.

Today near end of work, I decided to find out if I am smarter than the boss' dog. He is afraid of my camera. Runs away to hide as soon as he sees it. Today I set a camera trap. Z5 connected to Snapbridge app on my phone. I placed the camera on the floor, propped up a bit on a doggy toy. I controlled it remotely and we lured Sebastian with a doggy treat. I caught him backing up when he heard a focus confirmation beep. The others were motion blurred.
