Started right away on New Years Day. Not greatness, but we can build to that as the year progresses.
It was very cloudy, the Wisconsin River is not frozen over, very few eagles about. What I captured was all happening pretty far away and I had to crop in a lot.
I believe these 2 eagles were courting.
With a lack of eagles, the cranes coming in for a formation landing was the next best show. I actually did not notice the eagle in the tree for the last photo until I reviewed at home.
Also I found out on the TV news that I was in the wrong city that day. There was a snowy owl posing for photographers in a town about 40 miles south of where I was.
