1st proper attempt at Orion

this was taken with my D5200, un modified, single shot tracked at ISO1600 on an Alt-Azi mount, through a GT102

If you follow the line of Orion's belt, to the left, it will point to an unusually bright star. Outside of anything in our own solar system, this star is the brightest thing in our night sky. In the picture below, that's it just to the left of the top of the tree at the middle/bottom of the picture.

It's important that you never make fun of this star, never make jokes about it, or otherwise treat it frivolously. It's Sirius.

A Siriusly bad joke. Love it. Although, unless you study astronomy, the punch line might be a little nebulous.
