    Non Nikon lenses...

    What did you think of it's image quality? I've just compared a Sigma 150mm F2.8 APO Macro DG HSM (older non VR), with a Micro Nikkor 105mm F2.8 (VR version), and if anything, the Sigma is sharper and a tad more contrasty. The Sigma also works with the D850's focus shift function. RePete

    The D850 has "Focus shift shooting"....attached are shots of the menu, which is pretty much self-explanatory. I use Fine JPEG's for this, plus Silent live view. My PC is quite old, and it struggles a bit. RePete

    These required a humungous great mains powered studio flash, a small aperture to darken the background, and a lot of patience..... AND I've posted 'em in the wrong thread.....they're not stacked.....yet another "senior" moment..... :oops: RePete
