What settings are you using? If you have your aperture very small, say F22 or F32, it will allow very little light through to the sensor. Try setting your camera to M and set it to F8 and 1/500 sec with an ISO of 100 and try a test shot in bright sunlight.

If you are stacking them into an HDR, you will need to "auto-align" them regardless of how much they appear to the eye to be properly lined up. It is a very easy, one step, process in Photoshop. If you are using Lightroom to merge them, there is a box for "auto-align" at the top of the pop up...

Fly having a bad day. I would have liked to get a top down shot, but the spider was on the bottom of the web, upside down. No way I could have gotten a shot from another angle. I'm surprised by how often I'm able to get a bug eating bug image.

I've had a lot of trouble throughout my life with motion sickness. Guess what I did for 20 years in the Air Force? I've had issues on planes, boats and automobiles. Never had an issue with macro work. Good thing, as that is my favorite genre of photography. Sorry to hear you have that issue...
