I believe all the full frame Z cameras do, and a couple of the crop frame models, like the Z50ii, as well. Check the manual for a specific model. It looks like the Z8 will do the merging of the images in camera. My Z5 only takes the images for later processing in post.

I always give white birds 1 to 2.5 stops of compensation. Digital sensors don't like overexposure much. They react more like slide film for exposure. The good news is that the underexposed backgrounds still have a lot of detail that can be teased out in post.

Just keep in mind that if you set it for longer periods before shutdown, you will find that your batteries won't last nearly as long in a shooting session. Like most things in photography, there is no free lunch.
