Oops I did it again. Z50ii.

Just ordered a Z50ii and 16-50 kit lens refurbished from NikonUsa. $791 for the pair. I would have just gone with body only but it and the 2 kit lens package sold out. I plan to pair with my 180-600 for a little extra reach. I do have a Z 2x TC but not the 1.4x yet. But this refurb package was about $200 more than just the TC, so thought I now have a new camera with 1.5 crop for about the cost of the TC (if you subtracts cost of the lens). This will be my third Z body in as many months.

Keep in mind that with the high resolution sensor of the Z8, you can crop to the same size as that provided by a crop frame body with approximately the same resolution. You can either put it in DX mode, or just crop in post (my preference).

My daughter has a Z50ii and it is an amazing little package for the money. It has many of the same features my Z8 has. It is also a small, light package, which is a big plus to many folks. If I hadn't gotten an unexpected check last year, I would have been thinking hard about a Z50ii after it came out.

It's more for the smaller camera than the crop factor. I have the Z8 gripped and that will probably stay on for a while. The wife has taken the z5ii so the z50ii will be my 2nd z body.
