Took a walk around the vacant farm property across the road again. This time I snapped the old chicken coup and the back of the barn where there is an old tractor.
This is the first attempt at a close-up. I didn't know I could get this close with a kit lens. I LIKE it. I'll get better but it's nice to know I can get this close and have something still recognizable.

Still experimenting. This time I am comparing RAW to JPEG. The first one is taken in jpeg and shopped and the second one is taken in RAW and shopped.

If I wanted to start taking photos of water drops (such as dew) and close-up flowers and insects, which lens would you recommend that I save up for? I use a D3100. Thanks.
