I'm not sure what @nikonpup uses, but he does quite a bit of collage arrangements. I'm not sure if there is any software to do what you are asking. Most are probably doing it with PS or GIMP arranging a photo at a time.

Well shoot!! @Roy1961 & @jtgraphics I have hand tightened the knob on the collar and I can hold the lens and the collar can be turned feeling resistance, but not hard however. I will investigate more later. I will remove the collar and see what I can see like maybe a piece of plastic or...

I have never been around a lens large enough to require a tripod collar so this is new to me. I haven't investigated this completely, but before I break something does the tripod collar tighten down enough to keep the lens from rotating or is there still some friction movement when it is...
