15, July, 2016 Better start today. I got out early and watched the birds as the sun came up. The Gimbal makes life much easier for me to manage the Nikon 200-500 f/5.6

@rimrock, I agree with Mike and Paul as well, but I shoot a lot of little birds moving around and they are faster I think. I go a bit higher on the shutter... 1250 is normal. But you can look in the manual on page 62 to set them up the U1 and U2 presets. They are handy.

14, July, 2016 Couldn't get out today. Just one of those days... but I did not want to miss a shot over it so I hope this is in focus. Headaches mess with my vision sometimes and it is hard to tell... today was one of those days... Hey... but it looked ok to me :D

Well, I got a Gimbal head from my buddy @Bill16. It is a Beike Gimbal. Got it installed today. I really like it. Used it a bit before the storms became to much of a threat. By itself it is heavy, but it makes handling the Nikon 200-500 much easier for me.

Reminds me of my Uncles Barn. Hay went in the top and we milked the cows in the bottom. On his place the white building is where we floated the milk cans. The best things about photos are the memories they stir up. Thanks @nikonpup!
