    sigma 70 -300mm

Good to see others with this lens. I have been going out of my mind trying to take sharp photos with this lens above 200mm. I'm thinking of just getting the Nikon 55-200mm AF-S VR and just cropping my pics. here are a few shots of my never ending (4 week) struggle. lol

    Too dark for easter?

Just my amature opinion, a I have no experience in portraits. The first one looks a bit under exposed, however I like the 3rd shot a lot. I played with the first one in lightroom a little.

    d3100 focusing screen upgrade question.

After much researching ,watching tutorial after tutorial, I have decided that I need a split-prism focusing screen. Why?.. Because I like shooting old manual focus lenses, (In all honesty I only have one, but I love it.) I,ve been looking at the katzeye ones, but they are a $105 USD, which is a...

Man, I love this lense. The more I use it, the more I learn how to use it, the more I love it! Here are some pics I took of my best friend, just now. Late afternoon, sun is going down. No PP, straight out of the d3100.

Here are a few more. I'm not crazy about the waterfall. I think I went a bit heavy on the processing.

My 1st attempt at shooting moving water. Part2.

I have been seeing a lot of great professional images online capturing moving water. I figured I give it a shot myself. The problem was that it was pretty light out and I had no ND filter at the time. I used a circular polarizer to take some of the reflections off the water. Also used a tripod...

    50mm f1.8 AF

Thanks Aroy. Here are 3 pics I took after reading about manual focusing using live view in another thread, where I would zoom in on the screen and focus that way. Giving a more accurate focus then the viewfinder. I'm seeing better results doing it this way. There were no post processing done...

    Another 50mm f/1.8D AF thread.

I just got mine from e-bay, and just wanted to share a few pics. For 90 bucks you can't go wrong. However this manual focus thing (d3100) is going to take some practice. Right now I'm not seeing much difference between this and the 18-55 kit lens set at 50mm with the same aperture settings...
