I'm looking to get a telephoto zoom under $400.00. Must have lens stabilization, must go out to at least 300mm, and must not suck! I used to have the original 70-300mm without the VR, and that sucked big time. Then I had the Sigma 70-300mm Non OS, which was a little better, but slow to focus...

Day #25 Sandhill Crane gathering at the Hiwassee wildlife and bird refuge in Birchwood Tennessee. I shot this with a 140mm. My longest lens that I have. Pricing some telephoto's as we speak.

Anything that is a road. From a mere foot path, a country dirt road, to a 10 lane super highway. I love roads and taking pictures of them. I did a search and didn't find such a thread. Post away!!

Finally we're getting some frost and light snow up in the mountains. Makes for a nice image.

Day #24 I love shooting in this kind of weather. Lots of clouds ,fog and mist. The Sun is always lurking somewhere behind all that mess, waiting to break through.

Day #23 I opened the back door and asked Mrs Blacktop, how am I supposed to go out in this crappy weather and take shots for my 365? She just laughed and told me to take a shot at the weather through the open door;)..She's so wise! Also a great cook.
