Most of the time I am trying to get the whole subject in focus and frame and then sometimes the model/insect dictates it for you. This is one of those times.
This is the very first time I have seen one of these bees and I only got 2 shots off before he vanished. This was my second shot, the first was blurry.

Here are a few from today, but boy the mozzies were out.
This frog was quite funny, it would hide on the opposite side of the grass stalk. So I had to hold my left hand out on one side so he would come into view :)
