There was an issue with it The old forum allowed the option to receive instant updates on thread via email - but it was an option that had to be chosen.

@wev, are you using a tripod or a monopod? Shutter is 1/800" in at least one image. Since it's at 600mm, I'm sure you must have used some type of support.

I don't think the option to become a contributor has yet been added although the status carried over from the last forum. @jdeg would have to set that up again. So far the shoutbox isn't here (which was a feature available only for contributors).

Commenting can be turned off so that's possible. But then the poll would get buried by new posts and not be as visible.

I will continue to look for options, but I'm not sure if there are any, Needa.

This might have been before your time, but at a quick glance, this came to mind.

I saw that - but this is just a log of who does what. There were awards won then the award would be given back and awarded to someone else. And there were ways of earning points (1/2 point for a post, etc). I don't see those types of things here.

@jdeg - when you have time, will you please look at the point system (post count). And there was an add-on feature that gave awards behind the scenes (awards for highest poster, most comments, and other things), and kept track of points earned by the number of posts, etc. Any way to bring these...

Okay ... the the Weekly Challenge Team should have the ability to delete a poll and add a new one if there is a mistake. Since I deleted the poll and added a new one with a different ending date, the vote cast by @ryan20fun was deleted, too. This thread is just an observation of how the entire...

Since there isn't any way to change the end date of the poll, there is an option to delete the poll - and I *think* an option to add a poll to a thread. So that's what I'm going to try next.

If the wrong date to close the poll is listed, I don't see any way to change that during the editing process.

So you don't want to update it? I am still running Windows 7 on my PC, but it works fine. It's your choice though. :)

I did it earlier this morning, but it took a little work. Hopefully a more seamless approach can be added. Thanks!
