Wet Day in Wakulla Springs

Only 12 mins before the 9:00pm cut off. The camera was on UK time but the shot was taken in Florida

Visited Wakulla Springs in Florida and found these guys.

First attempt to use focus stacking. UK 10 pence coin, 8 stacked layers.

Garden is full of them this week. ​

At a the same focus distance and aperture does a macro lens have a larger Depth of Field than the equivalent standard lens with extension tubes ?

Inspired by Kodiaks blog to have a go at a product shot. Its quite a learning curve. This is my best attempt so far. Shot this evening outside. Probably better if I used a polarising filter to let me lower the camera angle and still see through the glass on the watch face. Here is a bigger...

I just got one this month. Got to get used to the weight. This is my first shot handheld on D800.
