    Finally got a clear night. This was taken using Nikon1 V1 + AF-S 80-400mmG ED VR set at 400mm. The effective focal length was therefore 1080mm. I am personally surprised at what the V1 is capable of.

    How do I photograph drops of water?

    If you use milk instead of water you get interesting effects due to the different surface tension, also the depth of the water container makes a difference, and also the temperature. Once you get hooked its great fun. ​
