Thanks to all who participated in this month's assignment of Low Light/Night time shots.
Day #38 (Continued)
This has caught my attention on various occasions. Notice the curiously interesting chimney. Two oil drums: a 55 and 35 gallon.
A feeble attempt to get a "Limited Light" shot. Sadly, it did not come out like I had planned. The candle really needed some help from the...
Day #38 Feb. 7
A couple of "Long Range" bird shots.
A dove flying off in the distance. It is hard for me to get good shots of them, as they fly like rockets. It is no wonder that they are nicknamed "Gray Ghosts". Ha!
A Western Meadowlark feeding off in a field.
Day #37 Feb. 6
I haven't had good internet service for the past few days (The reason I am just now posting to catch up). Today I didn't have time to do much photography, but I have been reading a book on using One Flash. I decided I would try something they suggested using the built in...
Day #36 Feb. 5
A bird I hadn't seen before. I think it is a Phainopepla
I saw this car coming out of a side street, so I had to get a picture of it (You folks from across the ocean can identify it, maybe?)
I saw this off in the distance. I did not have time to get any closer to check it...
Day #35 Feb. 4
An A10 Warthog, Circling for Touch and Goes
I saw this book exchange in my old neighborhood and had to get a shot of it for "posterity"
A large American Flag at an auto dealership
@mikew, I agree with the +EV for the darker birds and shooting into the sky. This one caught me off guard. It seems like they always fly between me and the sun, therefore I end up shooting into the sun.
Changes:
• AF-P DX NIKKOR 18–55mm f/3.5–5.6G VR and AF-P DX NIKKOR 18–55mm f/3.5–5.6G lenses are now supported. Vibration reduction can be enabled or disabled using the new Optical VR option in the photo SHOOTING MENU, which is displayed when an AF-P DX NIKKOR 18–55mm f/3.5–5.6G VR...
February 2016 ... "Love and/or Romance"
Use your imagination to come up with some exceptional photos. February is usually considered the month of Love, so... capture something that symbolizes, represents or shows "Love or Romance." It can be a romantic dinner, courting birds, a food in the...
Day #32 Feb. 1
Playing around with the new flash (YN568EX) just to see what/how to adjust things. This was just a "quick" off camera flash shot to see if it would work with the D7100 Commander Mode.
This is a five shot pano of the same hills I posted yesterday. It is looking off of the...
"One Light" - Horoscope Fish's Choice
One Light: Single source, bright, dim, natural, inside, outside, day or night... Can be the subject or the lighting for the subject. There are a lot of directions this can go. Illuminate us with your creativity!

Actually @mikew, it is a Eurasian or Collared dove. They are not native to the US. The Mourning dove does not have the black collar. The White-Winged, Mourning, Eurasian, and Inca dove I know. Those are some of the few birds that I do know. Ha!
Day 31 (continued)
A field with some interesting lines in the early morning sun.
A two shot handheld pano of Cochise Stronghold. The rocky mountains were one of the escape routes for Cochise, who was dodging the US Calvary. (Stitched with Microsoft ICE)
A four shot handheld pano of the...
