@Bill16 The breaker *should* be (probably) a 40 amp double breaker connected together. It is a dedicated breaker for just the HW heater. As to a water valve shutoff, by code there "should" be on the inlet side of the hot water tank. Good luck, Bill.

Ya @mikew, I noticed that. Ha! The Owl photo was a tough one. It was almost O-dark Thirty and took some doing to get it "fixed" so it could be seen.
