    D5100 Project

Well one more step done in my project to test all the functions in the D5100. Today it was Active D-Lighting. It actually works better than I thought it did. There is a visible difference in all the levels. I think I will leave it in Auto for a while and see how it does. I also shot night shots...

I just went down the hill to our little downtown area and walked around. Her is what I got. For all you RAW fanatics you will be happy to know I...

    Eye-Fi Cards???

My wife does not do well with technical things. I guess that is why she keeps me around. Automating downloads to her computer is a thing she will like. I noticed last week while we were in Bellingrath Gardens that she would not keep up with me. I would turn around and go back and she would be...

    Camera straps - again

Not really high tech, just different than the ones that come with cameras. I have found them to be so very comfortable and much easier to use than the ones that go around your neck. Also I think that it is a little safer to carry.

Nikon faces backlash over hunting rifle optics

Nikon faces backlash over hunting rifle optics | Amateur Photographer I really don't see the problem. Most of the hunters I know do more to promote conservation and to protect wildlife than anyone else. It is in their interest to make sure that the wildlife populations stay at a sustainable...

    Shoe photography with photo box

I assume this is the look you are going after? You are going to have to shoot in the manual mode and it will help if you shoot at a higher aperture (Larger Number) this will make the image sharper. Play with the shutter speed till you get the look that you are happy with.
