    D3100 upgrade

Yes... Adobe's been pushing their Cloud storage... You can ignore that and store everything on your own hard drives... I have 29,000 images in my 21 year old catalogue and it's less than 800G... 1T USB drives are less than $50... I'll see if I can find you a YouTube video tutorial on LR's...

    D3100 upgrade

Basically, they're just databases that can be configured to suit your needs... You import your images and it catalogues all...

Old Photo Restoration Filter in PS

Probably correct... If it were a wet plate, the earliest it would have been "copied" would have been some time after WWII... An old Brownie Kodak print would have been pretty tattered by the late '40s, which pretty much aligns with the condition of the copy you have now... I keep forgetting that...

Old Photo Restoration Filter in PS

Yup... I didn't tweak Topaz, just ran the images... AI does some funky stuff... I'm finding the "better" an image is, the better the results... different defects tend to get amplified...especially ones that are textures/patterns... i.e., those scratches or striations in the horse

    Raw files not...

    EXIF Info

Just some additional data... You'll notice that whenever you hover over an image, the little EXIFY icon spins, but no data is displayed... That's because one, or both conditions below exist. 1. Some web sites, to conserve disk storage (because some vendors charge by the amount of data...

    EXIF Info

Cindy... When you hover and it displays the info, click on the EXIFY icon to the right, and it should open a "configuration" window... In that window, there's a setting to Display the Date"... Check that box...

    EXIF Info

There seems to be several instances of EXIF Viewer info in different threads, so I thought I'd start one for this singular subject. Obviously, EXIF info for photos isn't supported in the new forum software, which is problematic for a Photography community... The logical solution is adding an...

How do you deal with aspect ratio?

That's more likely the issue... It's all about the composition to begin with... If the subject is "centered" within the frame at exposure, there should be little problem in losing some fringe area around the subject... Although, that also is dependent on what you the photographer, is trying to...
