Update: In Z9, Z8, there is only one button that can be assigned by RSF(H) -Recall Shooting Functions(Hold)- to toggle two settings. Any other buttons assigned by RSF(H) for toggling other settings will be washed to toggle the same settings assigned by the first button! This poor customization...

Something strange and bothersome happened! Last week I enjoyed shooting wildlife with my new Z8 + Z186 + TC1.4. I had preset some custom functions assigned to 4 buttons: fn1= 3D AF area, fn2= subject detection OFF, fn3= Auto area+Auto detection, and video= cycle AF area. It all worked perfectly...

Z8 Uses shooting banks for different shooting settings (landscape, BIF, portrait), but those do not include "release mode" setting. Even if those banks take release mode settings, it is still not fast enough to change banks.

What's your take on setting burst shoot speed for wildlife photos? With Z8 you have two options: Low and High. You can set low speed from 1 to 10 fps; for high speed, you get 10 to 20 fps (30 - 120 fps has limitations). This two-option setting makes me much annoyed and bothered when shooting...

Surprise! Comparing the new and old (Dec 23) images I observe the new one not only loses some details but also has the center light of the galaxy blown out... Only the color looks more likable. Are my eyes too old?
