I liked the composition, but it can not be used bigger then this (still have to get better at this). In the fields behind where I live:

    Insects with non macro lenses

I consider the result below par, but it was difficult to position the lens with the bee. Tokina 11-16

In my visit to a Nature reserve I was a bit surprised with the red dots around this bud: So I took out my Manfrotto flexarm and a pair of chop sticks to block the flower (high stem with lots of wind) so I could take this picture hand held.

Lowepro Trekker bag for 500mm. Good idea?

Gear question: I have stopped buying lenses (do not worry I will start again but it should take a few years). I wanted to stop buying gear, see below why (stopping GAS). The treatement recommended on the internet lead to go out and take pictures in stead of looking at gear. It works partially...

Time to get posting again. Test of my Nisi ND1000 filter. I really want to work more around the little streams, but seem to have trouble getting there.

Lens test, I was actually just testing the AF on my Vivitar 19-35, which I had never tried. It seems this came out, I was positively surprised.

Orchid, the big bulb is smaller then my pink IRL (I`m 1m86), I tried extreme macro, but the DOF was so small I got nothing interesting out of it: Looking at the EXIF I should change my auto ISO settings a bit more, seems I should consider going M more often again.

Fern, I was comparing the Tammy 90 to the Nikon 70-200. Here the 70-200 wins, but I noticed that getting closer can really be a big advantage in nature and then the Tammy is unbeatable. The edit on the Tammy (as well as the composition) seems better so before posting:

So a few days ago I stated a Vivitar 19-35 might be bought. The second hand shop allows to bid, asking price was 49€, I bid 38€, they accepted, I did not resist. This is how I wanted to use it: This is the picture I took with it:

A few weeks ago I cracked for this one, still missing from my Konica collection: Never had a 85mm f1.8 before, did not like to work with it, but love the results. Yesterday the next arrived, solves my issue of finding FF too wide and is really nice in weight, operation and result: Still...

Spring is coming, had been struggling to get this picture, it is difficult to set up the tripod and did not get there when there was good light, my new lens on my new camera helped:

Organ, Dom Trier After seeing one of these recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmE8hIJhC9o I used it to get this picture more clear: Somehow I stopped after getting the shadows cleared, I picked it up again later:

Japanese cherry tree (macro test): This one is on a protected place and a bit early, I believe the little brown spots indicate drops of water that froze in early morning and damaged the flower. A lot of extension tubes on the Osawa, not flexible and difficult to hold still hand held, but it...
