I am not enjoying my 70-300mm at the moment. Everything is a "what settings should I use for this?" type shot. I think I need an independent assessment of the lens. I shot a whole bunch this afternoon and these are the best 2 - not my usual style either.

Just going through my manual and cannot figure what the bracketing (BKT) button does. David Busch's Field Guide says: "Hold down and rotate the front and rear command dials to adjust settings for exposure and white balance bracketing." I've tried this and don't see what they are getting at...

Just received this from a friend and found it fascinating.

Hand-held, 7 shots, focus stacked. Lots of room for improvement but also lots of fun.

I tried a "grainy" finish of this dude and quite like the effect. First the full body shot then the heavily cropped portrait. I kinda like this second one. I guess with NIKS I could get a better finish but don't have NIKS right now.

I was invited along to a model shoot yesterday and had a lot of fun. Took over 170 photos - crazy I know but, hey I had to do something while the model was prepared to pose. i think I need to get into this sort of stuff because people actually pay to have their photos taken for their portfolio...

I don't really like that blue in the wing so tried this in mono.
