    If it was me, I would just stay at 20 fps. The bird might take off, the deer might run, the ducks might start a fight with each other, etc. I want to always be ready for action when it occurs. For still subjects I just take 2-3 shots at a time and pause.

    I spent most of my morning yesterday watching Great Blue Herons at a pond by a rookery. So far no birds have paired off, but they will very soon. This bird, in full breeding colors, gave me a few nice in flight shots.

    This Bald Eagle was collecting sticks to bring back to the nest for "nestorations" this morning. I don't believe this pair has laid eggs yet. They are procrastinators, I guess. :)

    Dad owl near the nesting site. He was way back in the spruce tree where he could keep watch but not be seen. Mom owls have just started sitting on eggs in this area. :)
