Is your focus selector in the auto position? If it is, then maybe try working it on-off a few times to see if there might be some kind of dirt preventing it from working. Otherwise, trip to the shop will be necessary.

Took a few more shots and removed (as much as I could) the distracting background in order to produce IMHO a more catching pic. D600, reversed 50 1.8 AF-D.

I thought of entering one of these (50mm with reverse ring) into the monthly assignment. Bug on a screen: Oops, I forgot to change my "non chipped lens data" so that's why the exif says it's a 35mm f2, but it's the 50 1.8 D reversed.

July 15th. Played with the 35mm Ai lens with a reversing ring on the D7000. Not easy as it looks to focus since the depth of field is SO SO SMALL, but I got a few shots worth sharing. Manual everything. Ready for take off!

July 14th. went for a cycling ride (25Km), had lunch, setup the d7000 with 300 F4 D on a tripod and tried to capture some birds on the feeder. I'm not quite ready to go for birds in flight yet... :)

July 10th, walking by the river with the nifty 50 and D600.

Here is my first entry. D600 with 50mm 1.8 AF-D lens. It's nice to see such bokeh with the prime lenses.

July 9th. I went to visit my grand daughter and had a swim in their pool. Her simple smile made my day.
