    I dont need it,its only a want

@mikew, It is a BEAST... I pick up mine after using my Z6 and it feels like a ton... and the shutter sound is loud. I love mine for landscapes, but it does sit more than it should.

    Nikon Interview by DP Review

This is a pretty good interview with Nikon on their plans for mirrorless primarily. But they do discuss the D6 and D780 a bit. It is a pretty good interview. https://www.dpreview.com/interviews/6739481235/ces-2020-interview-nikon-we-are-at-a-transitional-stage

Newbie's (blackstar) Moon Shot questions and helps

@blackstar, the approach I was explaining is easy but it is utilizing the focus triangle yourself rather than relying on the camera to do it for you. For me it is more fun because you decide what is most important to get the photo you want. Moon shots are a good photo to practice on because...

Newbie's (blackstar) Moon Shot questions and helps

I usually start out at 500 SS, 8 FS, and 100 ISO. I also tend to use spot metering. That usually gets me very close and I simply adjust the settings from there to get the light meter and view to balance out.

    Sigma 105 2.8 macro and Z50

Hey @mikew, what about something like this. It is a Godox Ring and it fits the Sigma. It is only $62, but it is all manual. No TTL https://www.adorama.com/goml150.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA1L_xBRA2EiwAgcLKAzBIjDJ3-d9jl9P0u05MIhqrz3SldZeJtvRgfh1fvLbxP_rCWwXv6xoC1-4QAvD_BwE

Post your Z50 SOOC (straight out of the camera) jpegs

@mikew, I did a little test using Snapbridge. I used my Z6 with Snapbridge on, dumping to my phone, and I picked a photo on my phone and posted it to Nikonites. Only made a small crop. I was not sure if the Meta Data would pass or not, but it did without a hitch. Did all of this from the...

Easy System To Master the Exposure Triangle - Photography Life

Received an email from photography life about this new YouTube video on the exposure triangle and how to use actually use manual settings to get the right exposure. It is pretty good for the beginner. The only thing that I saw missing was the rule of thumb for Shutter Speed being 1.5 times the...

Interesting Share Numbers for Canon, Nikon and Sony Year End

Just saw this on Nikon Rumors. Looks like Nikon closed the year with a number two in share and the Z50 was #1 in sales at one in one of test markets in Japan. Kind of interesting... https://nikonrumors.com/2020/01/15/a-few-new-bcnranking-digital-camera-stats.aspx/

    Nikon Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Lens Teardown

That is the first time I remember seeing one of these disassembly reports. My head hurts a bit, but I got through most of it. Apparently they think the Z mount S lens are very well made and it caused them to scratch their collective heads a bit. I liked their findings except the part about...

Pat and I got out a bit for her birthday today. MUCH better than last year!!! Had some fun in Lexington and on the way home I got a chance to take some photos. Our new theme song is an old Beatles song for the next year or two...;)

Danno's Here and There With the Z6 for 2020 as They may Come

Went down to get the mail yesterday and saw a black buzzard had laid claim to the abandoned home across the road. It was a first for me. I did not really have the right lens with me so I had to crop quite a bit, but just to ID the buzzard. I could not get much detail.

    Australia Fires

@Ironwood, I am glad all is well with you. I am also very glad to hear that Kevin and Scott are likely out of harms way. I continue to keep Australia in my prayers. It is crazy how changes to best practices can lead to such vast devastation.
