I am pleasantly pleased on the quality of the image with the low cost 55-300 DX zoom,, I got this on a fire sale of 250 dollars, for my D7000 for a light weight package. ISO 200, around 80mm, F14, 1/60th (hand held, so fairly slow shutter speed), Not bad for a low cost megazoom.
