I see the concern, all we can do is support the product (when its appropriate and going the correct direction) and hope for resilient owners wishing to do the best thing instead of the most lucrative thing. Affinity Photo 2.6 object selection roll out (not beta)
Those using Affinity 2 this update released 2/20 introduces the object selection tool. Be sure to watch the video on the Affinity site on the way it works.
