This is a Sandhill Crane that I spotted at the local airstrip that is near my house. They are endangered and have a radio transmitter and a identification ban on their legs. This bird was flying down the runway.

Another BIF shot from yesterday.

I went to a Renaissance Faire yesterday and they had a bird demonstration and I got this shot. These birds move pretty fast and at around 20ft distance, it was a little challenging to get. Shot with my D7000 and my Nikon 70-200VR F2.8 lens.
