Here is a couple using the black glass.

Just completed making this latest pen. Played around a bit with the lightbox/tent, I think I was doing better before I made these latest changes. Might have to change it back to how I had it, and make up something new for the black glass. Heres the better photos of what I took today.

I am still liking this lens, I took this one late this afternoon, there wasnt enough light for the lens to AF, so I had to manual focus. I wouldnt normally bother trying to handheld at 1/6 th second, but was just playing around seeing what I could come up with. Handheld @300mm, ISO800, f/5.6...

The Mother Wallaby and her Joey were back this afternoon, bit hard to see in the photo, but the Joey has hair now. Here she is with her boyfriend.

I got hold of a piece of almost black glass the other day, this is the first photo using it. Got a few issues to sort out with reflections, but I think it has promise. Let me know your thoughts please.

We have had over 12 inches of rain here in the last week, it seems to have brought the Fireball Lillie's to life. Also heard them called Pom Pom Lillies.

If you go with the Nikon 70-300VR, you wont be disappointed . I got a Nikon 2ndhand 70-300D first, and was not very happy with my results, then I bought a new model with the VR. Much better. Here are a couple of photos with that lens on my D3100. @300mm f8 1/1250th @185mm f8 1/250th
